We are the emerging municipal entity advocating for a viable system

am Jayaram Chapagain, the Principal of Ellaine Memorial School, and in my capacity as the president of the municipal committee covering Chandragiri, Nagarjun, and Kritipur, I am committed to ensuring the smooth operation of HISSAN. As a common knowledge, PABSON oversees classes up to grade 10, while HISSAN monitors classes from grade 9 to 12. Leading the committee formed by merging the three municipalities, our primary focus is on improving both academic and technical schools/colleges offering classes from grade 9 to 12.

As a common knowledge, PABSON oversees classes up to grade 10, while HISSAN monitors classes from grade 9 to 12. Leading the committee formed by merging the three municipalities, our primary focus is on improving both academic and technical schools/colleges offering classes from grade 9 to 12.

Our committee includes members from colleges within the specified grade range, with the goal of fostering a balance between sports and academics. As we prepare for affiliations with municipalities, we are currently awaiting directives from the central level and plan to draw insights from the experiences of district and central HISSAN levels.

The challenges in +2 education that necessitate attention at the HISSAN Kathmandu convention are substantial. Education, recognized as the fundamental right of every individual, encounters complications due to the division into private and government sectors. The recent Education Act calls for amendments, and a collaborative effort is crucial for the overall improvement of all colleges under our jurisdiction.

Regarding the number of member colleges in our municipalities, we are in the process of finalizing the exact data. An 11-member committee, with me as the president, has been formed, and though we haven’t held meetings yet, discussions are pivotal for shaping future plans, involving members from all three municipalities.

Lastly, given Nepal’s status below the poverty line, education assumes paramount importance. It is imperative to eliminate differentiation in education, and a positive government attitude toward private education is essential for enhancing the entire education system.
