Nightingale School, one of the top schools in Nepal, how has it been supporting student learning and progress?

Nightingale International School is a highly reputed educational institution in Nepal that has provided quality education to its students for many years. We have a team of highly qualified teachers who are committed to ensuring that our students receive the best possible education. We use a variety of teaching methods and techniques to cater to the individual learning needs of each student.

The school also provides a wide range of extracurricular activities that allow students to explore their interests and develop their skills outside the classroom. This includes sports, cultural events, and clubs for various hobbies and interests. Furthermore, Nightingale School places a strong emphasis on the holistic development of its students. We focus not only on academic excellence but also on the personal, social, and emotional growth of our students. This helps students to become well-rounded individuals who are better equipped to face the challenges of the real world.

Overall, it seems that Nightingale International School has been doing an excellent job in supporting the learning and progress of its students. Its commitment to providing quality education and fostering holistic development has helped many students to achieve their goals and succeed in life.

We are results-driven, with the motto 'Labore et honore'. We aim to instill dedication to studies and country in students. We prioritize the advancement of talented students, provide support for average students, and uplift academically challenged students.

What initiatives does Nightingale Secondary School take to enhance the quality of education?

As the principal of Nightingale International School, I am proud to say that our school provides the best possible education for our students. We have implemented several initiatives to enhance the quality of education provided at our school. One of our main focuses is on the progress and happiness of our students, and we have dedicated supervisors for each class to ensure that every student receives individual attention and care.

We also have a strong team of educators who work together to create effective lesson plans and teaching strategies. We regularly hold discussions and meetings to review our plans and ensure that we are providing the best possible education for our students. In addition, we prioritize the use of technology in our classrooms and have implemented various digital tools and resources to enhance learning. We also regularly organize extracurricular activities and events to encourage students to explore their interests and develop their skills beyond the classroom.

We have transitioned from the traditional rote learning system to a progressive teaching and learning pedagogy. How successful has Nightingale International School been in aligning with this pedagogy to meet the demands of the current time and society?

We have combined both systems. In the 21st century, practical knowledge is prioritized over rote learning. Our emphasis is on completing courses sooner and then reviewing them. We embrace technological advancements using helpful apps, games, and audio-visual teaching methods for students.

Today's education should be intertwined with skills, technology, attitude, and culture. How extensively have you integrated these qualities into your school?

If a student is academically poor, I am not worried because we are here to help him/her improve. However, if a student lacks morality and culture, it can be very challenging to address. Nowadays, parents are often busy. In addition to technology, our school offers cooking, stitching, arts and crafts, music, and dance classes. Not every child will become a doctor or engineer, so we strive to explore every possibility. We also provide extra classes for students.

Parents have high expectations for their children, but not every child can perform equally. What are your thoughts on this?

Every parent wishes to hear about their child's progress, but they must understand that each child has unique qualities and capacities. Some children focus on academics, while others are more interested in extracurricular activities. Parental pressure can have negative effects on a child's mental health, and it is a significant factor contributing to the growing trend of emigration to foreign countries as children seek more freedom.

The involvement of parents and the community is crucial in enhancing the quality of education. How have you applied for this in your school?

We hold regular parent meetings and discussions where we receive valuable suggestions. Our school actively involves the community and respects the diverse cultures within it. While we are based in the Newari community, we welcome students from various backgrounds and equally honor all traditions. I advocate for the inclusion of Sanskrit in our curriculum. Both parents and the school share responsibility for addressing excessive mobile phone usage among students. Community programs should be organized to nurture children's talents and interests, providing them with alternative outlets. Due to limited opportunities, students often turn to phones, highlighting the need for language, dance, and music institutes to be established in the community to engage students in diverse activities.

What message would you like to convey to parents and students?

As the principal of Nightingale International School, I would like to extend a warm message to all parents and students. Firstly, I would like to emphasize the importance of parents in shaping their children's future. Parents must give their time and attention to their children, teaching them about morals, cultures, and traditions. We must not forget to instill in our children the values of our religion and customs and encourage them to follow them. By doing so, we can help our children preserve our rich culture and traditions. As for the students, I would like to remind them that education is not just about learning academic subjects but also about developing their character and personality. Therefore, I encourage all students to take an active interest in extracurricular activities and community service, which will help them become well-rounded individuals. Lastly, I want to assure all parents and students that Nightingale International School is committed to providing a safe, inclusive, and nurturing environment where every student can thrive and reach their full potential.
