Could you give a brief synopsis about City Campus of Lumbini Buddhist University?

The City Campus located at Butwal is the constituent campus of Lumbini Buddhist University. It runs various programs based on the demand of the market and public linking them with the flavor of Buddhism. The campus has been offering market demands along with Buddhism related subjects. The campus has been offering diverse courses tailored to cater to the aspirations of local and foreign students, fostering a distinct environment for them to excel in various fields while integrating the teachings of Lord Buddha. This exceptional approach encourages students to develop expertise in their chosen disciplines while imbibing the profound wisdom of Buddha. This unique space nurtures a generation of future leaders who embrace the principles of Lord Buddha in their personal and professional lives.

The campus offers Bachelor of Travel and Tourism Management (BTTM) and Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Legislative Law (BALLB). How is the linkage made to these two courses with the philosophy of Buddhism?

Lumbini Buddhist University is a specific university established to recognize the philosophy and path of the Lord Buddha. Despite this, some courses are included to meet the demand of the modern global market intermingling the philosophy of Buddhism. For example, the courses of contents of BALLB include Jurisprudence during Buddha’s era linking with modern Jurisprudence. In fact, the essence of human rights such as the right to live with dignity originated during Buddha's era with the modern trend of jurisprudence. Similarly, Gautam Buddha himself is a traveler. He used to convey his message by visiting door to door. So, the syllabus of BTTM is designed and developed associating with the philosophy of Lord Buddha in relation to travel and tour.

BTTM and BALLB courses have also been offered by other universities and colleges. What are the major reasons to study these courses at City Campus Butwal?

I have highlighted some specific features of these subjects in the previous question. In fact, the college has been developing and designing the syllabus in new flavors which are not found in other universities. These subjects fulfill the aspirations of the present generation within the theme of Buddhist philosophy. Our college takes pride in infusing Buddha's knowledge and philosophy into the curriculum, contributing to the dissemination of wisdom and enlightenment in society. Aspiring law students in our institution learn to uphold truth and integrity, which forms the foundation of their pursuit of justice. Through comprehensive education and training, they develop the skills to eloquently advocate for the innocent and ensure justice prevails in their professional endeavors. By instilling values of fairness and compassion, we prepare our law graduates to make a positive impact and bring about positive change in society. Embracing the teachings of Buddha, our students become champions of truth, equity, and righteousness, embodying the essence of justice throughout their careers.
