What motivated you to pursue a career in the field of education?

While pursuing my studies in science during my plus two education, I took on the responsibility of tutoring students part-time. This allowed me to share my knowledge and assist fellow students in their academic pursuits. The experience of teaching not only helped me solidify my understanding of the subjects but also provided me with an opportunity to make a positive impact on the educational journeys of others. Furthermore, I had the privilege of being involved in the establishment of a college in collaboration with the esteemed Chaudhary Group. This partnership allowed me to contribute to the development and growth of an educational institution, working alongside professionals and experts in the field. It was a valuable experience that provided me with insights into the intricate processes involved in creating a conducive learning environment and ensuring quality education. How do you perceive the decline in the popularity of plus two education?

The field of hospitality and IT is experiencing a continuous rise in demand, which has contributed to a shift in the perceptions surrounding the choice of plus two education. Previously, it was commonly believed that students who pursued science in their plus two education were primarily destined for medical or healthcare-related careers. However, this mindset has undergone a significant transformation. In the present scenario, the scope for science students has broadened considerably, and they now have the opportunity to explore diverse career paths beyond the traditional medical field. Science students are no longer limited to pursuing strictly science-based careers; instead, they have the flexibility to venture into other domains, including management. This change in perspective has opened up new avenues for science students to explore their interests and pursue managerial roles. They can leverage their scientific knowledge and skills to excel in management positions within industries such as hospitality, IT, and many others. The Kathmandu, Lalitpur, and Bhaktapur districts in Nepal are home to a significant number of colleges. To support the development of the six districts, we have adopted a decentralized approach, allowing each sector to operate independently and take responsibility for their respective roles and functions. This structure enables efficient management and decision-making at the sector level. To foster effective communication and collaboration among the sectors, we regularly organize sector-specific meetings. These meetings address various areas of focus, such as admissions and child career counseling, providing a platform for sharing best practices, streamlining processes, and ensuring fairness and transparency. In addition to sector-specific meetings, we recognize the importance of providing comprehensive information and guidance to students and parents during the college selection process. To facilitate this, we organize educational fairs where colleges from different disciplines come together to showcase their offerings. These fairs serve as a valuable resource for attendees, offering detailed information about various colleges, courses, admission requirements, scholarships, and career prospects. Expert counselors are also available at these fairs to provide personalized guidance and address any inquiries or concerns. Our aim is to create an environment that fosters growth and development in the six districts by empowering each sector and providing the necessary resources and platforms for collaboration. By allowing stakeholders to take charge of their responsibilities, we can collectively work towards advancing education, admissions processes, and career counseling. This unforeseen situation affected not only our college but also numerous colleges across the board.
