"Investing in education yields global-level educational institutions in Nepal: Vice President Singh."

"Kathmandu. Vice Chancellor Pramod Nanda Bhatta of Mid-Western University has emphasized the need for Nepali educational institutions to take strong measures to halt the increasing trend of students going abroad for studies in large numbers each year."

"Addressing the orientation program for the students enrolled in Class 11 at Morgan Internet College, he emphasized that the government should provide special support to enhance the quality of education in well-performing educational institutions, in order to divert the attention towards stopping Nepali students from going abroad for studies."

"Morgan Internet College had organized an orientation program on Friday for the new incoming students. The college administration informed that around a thousand students have enrolled in Class 11 for Science, Management, and Law studies at Morgan Internet College."

Addressing the program, Vice President Singh said, "A significant number of Nepali students are currently studying in Australia and Japan. Billions of rupees are being sent abroad in the name of foreign studies. If that investment is made in Nepal's education sector, we can establish world-class educational institutions here."

However, he mentioned that in recent days, due to the increasing interest of the private sector, educational institutions are gradually being established in Nepal driven by greed.

The Vice President also pointed out that the blame for the failure of Nepal's education sector to make significant progress also lies with the administrators. He stated, "Only around 5% of the teachers in Nepal are creative. Among the 14 universities in Nepal, none have been able to register a patent. Developed countries have millions of patents registered."

He emphasized the need to establish strong educational institutions here in Nepal to prepare competent students for the country.

He mentioned that Mid-Western University has been established with pride as a worthy institution. He also stated that the university is currently running 47 projects, all of which are progressing towards completion.

"Among all the universities in Nepal, Mid-Western University is the first in terms of spending the highest amount of funds on research and development. In addition, we have allocated a 10% budget for research and development," he said.

Vice President Singh praised the contribution of Morgan Internet College towards the development of Nepal's education sector, highlighting the college's significant role.

Dr. Dipendra Bhandari, the Principal of Morgan International College, has mentioned that out of the dozen students at Morgan, every year, who take the entrance examination for medical and engineering studies, consistently produce impressive results, which validates the quality of education provided by the college.

Dr. Bhandari has mentioned that the college enrolls all students from various backgrounds and consistently produces excellent results for all of them in the Secondary Education Examination conducted by the Higher Secondary Education Board.

Morgan Internet College is also conducting academic programs in affiliation with Tribhuvan University, offering undergraduate and postgraduate levels of education. Undergraduate programs include Bachelor in Computer Application (BCA), Bachelor in Information Management (BIM), Bachelor of Business Management (BBM), Bachelor of Business Studies (BBS), and teaching subjects under Bachelor of Arts in Social Work. At the postgraduate level, the college is affiliated with Master of Business Studies (MBS) program.
