Morgan Engineering & Management College was established in 2010, under the affi liation of Purbanchal University. The College is located centrally in Kathmandu Metropolitan City – 3, Kanti Marga, Kathmandu, which is acting as the milestone to deliver professional and technical education. The college lies exactly on the Ring Road track and therefore, has a good accessible for public transportation from all corners of the city and rural settlements of Kathmandu, Lalitpur and Bhaktapur via Ring Road. Course Description

The Bachelor of Civil Engineering is a four-year programme run by the college affi liated to Purbanchal University. The civil engineer’s job is to solve problems relating to the infrastructure of modern society, to consider the environmental impact, effi ciency and cost eff ectiveness of that infrastructure. Moreover, civil engineers may be involved in ensuring whether a building design is safe or not or may inspect and analyse a dam wall to see if it is structurally sound. Civil engineers enjoy excellent career prospects as they are involved in so many facets of everyday life and its associated infrastructure. Students in this programme go through lectures, fi eld-work laboratory exercises and site visits. Experienced and qualifi ed faculties are involved in the programme. Civil engineering is one of the oldest technical professions providing the necessary infrastructure for societies. As a Civil Engineer, he/she can run his/her own organization or work for government authorities, private industry consulting fi rms or major construction companies on planning, investigation, design, construction and/or rehabilitation of:

  • office, residential and industrial buildings, sporting and shopping complexes
  • sustainable urban residential developments and municipal facilities
  • transportation systems for passengers and freight including roads, bridges, railways and airports
  • water infrastructure works including reservoirs, pump stations, pipelines, treatment plants, drainage and fl ood control
  • irrigation and alternative water supply systems including wastewater recycling and stormwater harvesting
  • pollution control facilities for solid, liquid and gaseous wastes
  • mining developments and structural foundations (geological / soil investigations)
  • energy extraction facilities and renewable energy sources such as hydro, solar, wind and geothermal

Course Description

Bachelor of Electrical engineering is a professional career, which is concerned with the design, research, development, planning, manufacturing and management of electrical systems and devices that shapes the modern economics and contributes to the quality of life. Electrical engineers design, develop and supervise the manufacture, installation, operation and maintenance of electrical systems for generation, distribution, utilization and control of electric power or electrical systems that are used for computers, communications and other industrial applications.

ADMISSION PROCEDURE

The students who have passed +2 in Science or equivalent degree are eligible to join BE. They must have passed entrance exam conducted by Purbanchal University.

WRITTEN TEST

All the applicants should appear for the written test to assess their knowledge and competence for the program. The entrance test will be specifi ed on these areas: Verbal Ability, Quantitative Techniques, General Awareness and Logical Reasoning. Only short-listed candidates will be called for interview.

INTERVIEW

The interview aims to check the general knowledge & skills of the students in areas related to their aptitude, attitude & communication skill.

FINAL SELECTION

The Bachelor in Business Administration (BBA) program at Morgan is designed to build up professional managers and entrepreneurs by providing students with sound conceptual foundation and practical skills in various areas of business.
