The Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) of Tribhuvan University is a special program in semester system of Tribhuvan University, designed to develop socially responsive, creative, and result oriented management professionals to fill up the middle level managerial positions in the rapidly growing business sector in Nepal and abroad. Currently, 30 plus Business School offers BBA program in affiliation with Tribhuvan University in Nepal.

The specific objectives of this program are:

1. Prepare students to take-up middle level managerial positions in the business sector
2. Develop students’ skills in object-oriented business management capable of understanding and solving practical business problems creatively
3. Provide professional management education with a blend of computer and management information system courses
4. Prepare students to proceed onto post graduate level study in business administration

TEACHING PEDAGOGY

The general teaching pedagogy of BBA at Tribhuvan University and affiliated colleges includes class lectures, group discussions, case studies, guest lectures, role play, research work, project work (individual and group), assignments (theoretical and practical), and term papers. The teaching faculty will determine the choice of teaching pedagogy as per the need of the course.

The concerned faculty shall develop a detailed course outline and work plan at the beginning of each semester and also recommends the basic text and other reference materials for effective teaching-learning of the course modules.

The Bachelor of Arts (BA) is a three year program of Tribhuvan University. The course was designed with the purpose of giving theoretical and conceptual based knowledge to the students.

The Faculty of Humanities and Social Science (FOHSS) under the Tribhuvan University (TU) is the authentic authority to conduct the administrative business of Bachelor of Arts. The motto of FOHSS is to build up qualified and dedicated human resources in the field of humanities and social science. BA program is the leading faculty in terms of number of subjects offered and the number of department it has. This program consists of more than 30 constituent campus and more than 300 affiliated colleges where millions of students are gaining education and shaping their careers. There are many top listed colleges in Kathmandu and outside the valley for pursuing BA or Bachelor of Arts. Wide ranges of course are taught in Bachelors in Arts. Some of the subjects taught in BA are: Major English, Nepali, Mathematics, Sociology, Anthropology, History, Culture, Political Science, Economics, Journalism, International Study, Crisis Management, Social Work, etc. Examination of BA takes under the annual system. Unlike, management and science stream, it is still a three-year program.
