About College
Southwestern State College (SWSC) is promoted by a team of Academicians, Researchers, Planners, and Professionals with years of national and international experience and managed by a highly experienced management team. The college is providing quality education in Science, Management, Humanities and Law streams for undergraduate Level and Management and Humanities for graduate levels in Nepal. Since its inception, it has been conceived to promote the prospects of qualitative, practical and value-based education. It places considerable emphasis on students’ valuable learning experiences and provides opportunities to enjoy excellence and success in their academic pursuit. The college integrates different activities such as the Writing Resource Centre, the Information Commons, and Educational Technology Services into curricular and co-curricular learning. SWSC is committed to develop creative, socially responsive, and result oriented professionals who can deal with global challenges. The ISO 9001:2015 QMS certified SWSC is collaborating with national and international partners to enhance the quality of education and learning. At present, the college runs Master in Arts (M.A) in English, Master of Business Studies (MBS), Bachelor of Business Studies (BBS), Bachelor of Business Management (BBM), Bachelor in Computer Application (BCA), and Bachelor of Social Work (BSW) courses affiliated to Tribhuvan University (TU), and +2 programs in Science and Management. The promoters from different professions of life and with years of excellent experience in the academic field are managing the college. SWSC is determined to play a vital role in bridging the gap between the national and international education system. SWSC, located ideally in proximity to Ring Road, turns out to be a quiet study area, reflecting to welcoming positive and secure academic center. It has covered up 16,725 sq. ft. areas. We have very friendly, supportive and stimulating college ambiance. It places considerable emphasis on giving the students’ valuable learning experiences and providing great opportunities to ensure excellence and success in their academic pursuit. Bachelor of Social Work is a three-year course designed and offered by Tribhuvan University.
